How to Install Gym Turf Using Protac Double-Sided Flooring Tape
Installing SummitTURF with Protac Industrial Double-Sided Flooring Tape is a fast and effective way to achieve a secure installation without the mess of liquid adhesives. This method is ideal for home gyms, personal training studios and many commercial fitness facilities where a clean, professional finish is desired.
Begin by ensuring the subfloor is clean, dry and free of dust, grease or debris. Roll out the turf in its final position and allow it to relax for several hours to minimize any curling from shipping. Once the turf has settled, fold back one half of the roll and apply Protac tape directly to the subfloor around the perimeter and at any seams. For larger installations or high-traffic areas, additional strips of tape can be applied through the centre of the roll for increased holding power.
Remove the protective backing from the tape and carefully roll the turf back into place, working slowly to avoid wrinkles or air pockets. Press the turf firmly onto the tape, applying consistent pressure along all edges and seams to ensure a strong bond. If installing multiple rolls, align the seams tightly before securing them with Protac tape to create a smooth, nearly invisible transition.
Once installation is complete, the turf is ready for use immediately, providing a durable, secure surface for functional fitness, sled training and everyday gym activities.
